The story takes place in 1944, when the cruel and ruthless iron heels of the Japanese army shattered the tranquility of the Korean land. In a moment, the smoke of gunfire rose, and cries of sorrow filled the air. The people lost their homes, which they relied on for survival, and could only endure humiliation and survive under the burning flames of war and the domination of enemies. Cui Zhongfen (played by Kim Hyang-ki) and Jin Yingai (played by Kim Sae-ron) are two ordinary Korean girls.
