STXfilms acquired the North American distribution rights for the new film "The Best of Enemies," starring Taraji P. Henson and Sam Rockwell. The cast also includes Babou Ceesay ("Rogue One"), Anne Heche ("Wag the Dog"), Wes Bentley ("American Horror Story"), Bruce McGill ("Murphy Brown"), small John Gallagher, and Nick Searcy. Producer Robin Bissell ("The Hunger Games," "The Free State of Jones") makes his directorial debut, adapting the screenplay from the book by Osha Gray Davidson. Henson plays Ann Atwater, a civil rights activist from Durham, North Carolina, who engages in a ten-year battle with the Ku Klux Klan leader C.P. Ellis (Rockwell). In 1971, they agree to co-chair a two-week community meeting to address a court-ordered plan to desegregate schools. This meeting changes their lives.
