"Late Life: Chien-Ming Wang" is produced by WYC Motions, in collaboration with Yibo International Co., Ltd., and Monkey King Marketing Co., Ltd. Canadian Taiwanese director Arvin Chen spent over four years traveling to 21 cities across the United States with Chien-Ming Wang, documenting the hardships of his rigorous training in Texas, his passionate return to the MLB with the Kansas City Royals, and conducting in-depth interviews with Wang’s wife, children, agent, as well as coaches and managers he has worked with. It also features Taiwanese players familiar with Wang, such as Kuo Hongzhi and Zheng Qihong. This allows the audience to see a side of Wang they have never seen before and to appreciate the journey he has undertaken. This all ties back to the film's title "Late Life," which in baseball terminology refers to the tail end of the pitch as it reaches the catcher's glove, symbolizing a beautiful conclusion to a stage of life.
