In April 1988, on the island of Ouvea in French New Caledonia, 30 police officers were taken hostage by a pro-independence group of Kanak people. France dispatched 300 soldiers to restore order. Two men face to face: Philippe Legorjus, captain of the French National Gendarmerie Intervention Group, and Alphonse Dianou, the leader of the hostage-takers. Through their shared values, they attempt to resolve the issue through dialogue. However, during the presidential election, with key challenges being political, order is not always governed by morality...
