In a traditional Taiwanese bakery, a local baker meets a noble bread master from England. In order to win the heart of his beloved girl, they enter into a direct competition. Two men, a cultural clash in a village bakery, where the outcome will be determined by taste... Gāobǐng (played by Chen Handian) is a baker at "Yuan Chen Bakery" in the countryside of Kaohsiung, and he is a childhood friend of the shop owner's daughter, Xiaoping (played by Chen Yanshi). Gāobǐng, who vows to marry only Xiaoping, plans a surprise proposal one night. However, Xiaoping has a long-held dream that she wishes to achieve, leaving her unmoved by Gāobǐng's proposal. One day, a handsome mixed-blood prince named Blade (played by Ni Antong) arrives at the calm bakery. As an international gourmet travel show host and a Michelin three-star restaurant chef, Blade visits the quaint town to find the bread his mother loved most. He falls in love with Xiaoping at first sight. Although Xiaoping has feelings for someone else, Blade’s European-style bread and his romantic, gentle demeanor unexpectedly disrupt her life with Gāobǐng. Under Xiaoping’s unintentional arrangement, Blade moves into the bakery's attic as a tenant and becomes Gāobǐng's apprentice. Seeing Xiaoping and Blade growing closer, Blade even plans to take Xiaoping to France to fulfill her dream! In order to keep Xiaoping, Gāobǐng decides to accept Sister Jian's (played by Chen Yingjie) suggestion to hold a bread competition themed "Taiwanese Bread vs. European Bread" against Blade. A heartfelt gentleman versus a serious baker in a baking showdown—who will Xiaoping ultimately choose?...
