In the late Ming Dynasty, drought devastated the Jiangnan region, leaving countless corpses in its wake and the people in dire straits. At this time, the case of Cao Huazhi embezzling funds from the "Two Rivers Project" caused a huge stir in both the capital and among the populace, inciting public hatred and shocking the palace. The Emperor issued an edict ordering the capital's Dusi Yuan to solve the case within a set time frame. In the palace, Lord Jiu secretly spread rumors that Cao Huazhi had escaped from prison. Female catchers, Tie Feihua, set a military order that no matter how far she had to chase, she would capture Cao Huazhi. Tie Feihua investigated all the way to Chenkou County. After days of open and covert inquiries, Cao Huazhi was finally caught. Unexpectedly, Cao Huazhi adamantly denied being Cao Huazhi, claiming his real name was Cao Yifeng and he was merely a lowly catcher in the Chenkou County yamen. Tie Feihua, known as the "Imperial God Capturer" in the martial arts world, would not be misled into wrongfully accusing an innocent person. Tie Feihua and her assistant, Liu'er, escorted Cao Yifeng to the capital. Along the way, Tie Feihua faced several groups attempting to intercept them, all intent on making her hand over Cao Huazhi. Taking advantage of the chaos when Tie Feihua engaged the robbers, Cao Yifeng managed to escape and slip back to Chenkou County. Despite his cleverness throughout life, he was foolish in that moment. Just as he returned to Chenkou, he fell into the hands of a group of robbers. When the robbers were about to kill him, Tie Feihua arrived just in time, stepping in to save Cao Yifeng from certain death. Tie Feihua sent word through Liu'er that Cao Huazhi was in her hands, hoping to lure an abductee who could reveal the mastermind behind it. By coincidence, Tie Feihua learned from a soldier who had intended to kill them that it was Lord Qiu from the capital who wanted Cao Huazhi dead. Meanwhile, anxiety reigned in the capital, with Lord Jiu secretly investigating and managing to extort a considerable sum from Lord Qiu. Hearing that Cao Huazhi was indeed in Tie Feihua's grasp, unknown assassins descended like locusts. Tie Feihua countered from all sides, capturing them one by one while allowing one assassin to escape. Under Cao Yifeng's questioning, Tie Feihua revealed the circumstances, hoping he would assist her in solving the case and uncovering the true culprit. Moved by Tie Feihua's loyalty and determination, Cao Yifeng agreed to cooperate. As expected, officials affiliated with the case in the capital began to act secretly, trying to silence potential witnesses. The Minister of Works, Wei Cunping, was the first to be implicated by the assassins. Upon arriving in the capital, Cao Yifeng, under Tie Feihua's guidance, staged a false escape to lure Wei Cunping, forcing him to confess. Tie Feihua's trap received the approval of the Dusi Yuan and the Emperor. Under this deception, officials involved in the Two Rivers Project surfaced one after another, and the mastermind, "Prince Yue," was exposed. Cao Yifeng, the small catcher from Chenkou County, rose to prominence and was recommended for a sixth-rank position in the Dusi Yuan.
