Wang Ping (played by Wu Wei), who runs a small bookstore in Nanjing, is having an affair with a gay man, Jiang Cheng (played by Qin Hao), behind the back of his wife, Lin Xue (played by Jiang Jiaqi). Suspicious of her husband's behavior, Lin Xue hires Luo Haitao (played by Chen Sicheng) to follow Wang Ping, discovering Jiang Cheng's whereabouts.
