Born into poverty but with a strong personality, new lawyer Wakahara Wakaba (played by Aragaki Yui) is entrusted by her female boss Sakurakawa Nobuko (played by Yakushimaru Hiroko) on her first day of work to take care of her 5-year-old daughter Sakurakawa Hinata (played by Tanikawa Kanon). As a result, Wakaba has to manage Hinata's schedule and encounters the popular single dad among the kids, Yamada Sota (played by Nishikido Ryo), at the kindergarten. Due to a previous misunderstanding, Wakaba has had a negative impression of Sota. However, after a series of events, she gradually discovers that Sota is a responsible, gentle, and caring man. Despite her growing affection for him, ambitious Wakaba has always dreamed of achieving great success, while Sota, with no assets, no home, and no degree, can't provide her with that. Unsettled by the ordinary life, Wakaba stubbornly refuses to admit her feelings for Sota, causing many ups and downs in their relationship. This romance story between a strong woman and a weaker man unfolds quietly amidst bittersweet moments and tenderness, helped along by the little ones.
