The British female filmmaker Sue in the film is played by Alice Patten, the daughter of the last Governor of Hong Kong, Chris Patten. The British officer who suppressed the Indian revolutionaries was moved by their indomitable spirit, leaving behind a diary documenting the circumstances of that time.
