The story tells of a female high school student, Mako, who suffers from bullying. She discovers a children's book about ninjas titled "Thunder Wind Blade" in the library, which becomes her only source of comfort. The ninjas from the book, Shiro and Yua, appear before her and take Mako back to the Edo period.
