As the spread of the zombie infection continues to expand, humanity intensifies targeted research. Researcher Sarah (played by Lori Cardille) and helicopter pilot John are airlifted to an underground research center converted from a mine, where Dr. Logan studies zombie behavior and has made some preliminary results. The military personnel responsible for the center's security and zombie capture have long grown weary of their dark underground life; facing the deaths of comrades, isolation from outside news, and slow research progress has made them irritable, leading to open rebellion against project head Captain Rhodes (played by Joseph Pilato). The mentally crumbling soldier Miguel loses an arm due to a zombie bite, and the conflict between the soldiers and researchers fully erupts. Rhodes reveals his sinister nature, pushing Sarah and others into zombie-infested tunnels, while Miguel brings zombies into the center. In the escalating chaos, Sarah and her group fight for survival... This film won the Best Actress award at the 1985 Catalonia International Film Festival.
