A French volunteer corps stationed in a colonial territory in East Africa, which adheres strictly to the principles of doctrine, honor, and obedience, welcomes a group of new recruits. Among them, the standout is Santin (Grégoire Colin), who possesses handsome looks and a strong physique, attracting the passionate gazes of both Commander Bruno (Michel Subor) and Lieutenant Bougrou (Denis Lavant).
