This film is adapted from the online sensation involving a campus paranormal club that used the "Ten Methods to See Ghosts" to summon spirits during the Ghost Festival. The movie tells the story of first-year student Ye Li and her classmates who decide to use the "Ten Methods to See Ghosts" to summon spirits. They choose to explore the notoriously haunted "Qingmu Ridge" on the night of the July Half Ghost Festival. During the process of summoning, each person bizarrely encounters their past-life ghost. Subsequently, a series of terrifying supernatural events occur: red-clothed female ghosts and dark night malevolent spirits appear, with curses of disappearance, madness, and death looming over them.
