Yao Ting (played by Yang Zishan) is a Gansu native who was born and raised in Shenzhen. Aside from obtaining her ID card, she has never been to Gansu. Now, her parents, who have been working in Shenzhen for over twenty years, decide to return to their rural home in Gansu. Seeing her parents struggle in the village, Yao Ting wants to bring them back to Shenzhen through her own efforts.
