The lazy and gluttonous Ah Ji (Anthony Wong) holds the title of manager in a certain department of a large company, but he has nothing to do all day. He lives a dull life with his good buddy Ah Jiu (Lam Tze Chung), who works under him, relying on his wild ideas. Due to economic downturn, the company decides to lay off employees through a talent competition. Ah Ji and Ah Jiu have no skills to showcase, and just as they are worried, their uncle (Danny Lee) suggests they remember their lion dance heritage, leading them to perform the increasingly neglected lion dance. However, before the two can showcase their talents, the company goes out of business. Ah Ji and Ah Jiu sit dejectedly on the street, and the large lion head attracts passersby. Encouraged by the onlookers' money, the two start dancing with the lion head. During their performance, the police arrive to intervene, resulting in a heated argument that draws media attention. Unexpectedly, this incident rekindles Hong Kong people's interest in lion dancing, and Ah Ji and Ah Jiu become celebrities. Ah Ji's sister (Maggie Shiu), a natural businessman, sees profit in lion dancing and starts a venture, while others flock to the opportunity driven by greed. Witnessing all this, the uncle shakes his head in disappointment.
