The son of a wealthy conglomerate, Hisashi Fumihiro, was told by his father (played by Kunio Murai) at the age of 11 that his purpose in life was to be shaped into the ultimate evil capable of causing great disasters to the world. To make his son complete this transformation, the wicked father went so far as to tarnish the boy’s first love, Kaori. In a moment of crisis, the boy killed his father and disappeared. Years later, the grown Fumihiro (played by Hiroshi Tamaki) assumes a new identity as Koichi Shintani and starts a new life. He desperately seeks out Kaori (played by Yuko Araki), lingering around her and resorting to murder again to protect her. Before long, his half-brother Kuniki Taneko (played by Tatsuya Nakamura), who knows about Koichi’s past life, colludes with the terrorist Ryosuke Ito (played by Ryo Yoshizawa), who plans to overthrow Japan, and they target Kaori. Koichi must confront his past and dark fate…This film is based on the novel of the same name by Akutagawa Prize-winning author Fumimori Nakamura.
