Gangster Ahao (played by William Li) makes a living by escorting girls, but he is passionate and goes to great lengths to protect them. He is imprisoned for a year for taking the blame for a younger brother. Ah Hai (played by Fan Yichen) is the lead singer with band dreams, facing the conflict between ideals and reality, as his friend and bandmate betrays him to go solo. The remaining members must deal with their own life issues, relying on working as waiters and participating in drug trials to sustain rehearsals. Ah Hai's girlfriend May (played by Zhou Chuchu) can no longer bear the hardships and leaves him. Meanwhile, Ahao, released from prison, is beaten by his former younger brother; the two lonely men meet for the first time in the city. Soon, Ah Hai and the others finally sign a contract but fall into the debt trap of the record company. Ahao goes back to follow his older brother Jieke (played by Rong Xiang) to collect debts. In debt, Ah Hai receives help from Ahao, who fully supports his record release, and their dreams finally start to take flight...
