Originally, Zack Gibbs' greatest wish was to own a car of his own. However, when he accidentally discovered a strange watch among his father's countless inventions and secretly claimed it as his own, his wonderful journey began. The world around him seemed to stand still due to a mysterious power. Everyone was frozen in a fixed moment in time. Soon, Zack discovered that the secret came from that watch, and he quickly grasped the trick to control it. Thus, he and his new friend, the smart and beautiful Francesca, experienced the unrestrained joy of this frozen time and space together. But things were not that simple. In this space that belonged only to them, there seemed to be other mysterious figures quietly monitoring them from the shadows… Behind the scenes "Time Hacker" began planning in 1998, with the initial idea to make a light comedy similar to "Flubber," poking fun at scientific inventions. Later, in 2000, the film's focus shifted to the slowing down and speeding up of time, which was evidently another manifestation of the "Matrix" effect, but this time it was a lively teenage comedy version. A science fiction comedy aimed at teenagers. In fact, from the thematic perspective, this film has the potential for deep exploration. In the fast-paced modern society where the most scarce element is time, the idea of being able to stop time and grasp it as you please is quite appealing. Unfortunately, the screenwriters and directors clearly had no intention of putting more effort into the film's connotation; however, with “Star Trek” actor and director Jonathan Frakes at the helm, at least the film's science fiction visual effects are worth looking forward to. The male lead, Jesse Bradford, is a young rising star in Hollywood. At just 22, he has been acting for many years, having played the son of Robert De Niro and Harrison Ford in "Falling in Love" (1984) and "Presumed Innocent" (1990), respectively. You can also appreciate his outstanding performances in "Romeo + Juliet" and the teen hit "Swimfan."
