The story begins in 2003, shortly after the end of the Gulf War, when a few surviving prisoners of war were discovered by the media in southern Iraq. A Kurdish elderly woman, listening to the news on the radio from far away, felt a surge of emotion. Her son, who had gone to war, had yet to return. Driven by a steadfast belief, the elderly woman resolutely set off with her young grandson to search for her long-missing son. She felt heartbroken for her young grandson, forced to survive in a poor environment. Yet, as long as they could find his father, the family could still reunite. The elderly woman remained convinced that her son was still alive somewhere in the world. During their journey, they encountered various people in the midst of chaos, witnessing a range of suffering and hardship. Of course, there were also those whose faces shone with hope and motivation as pilgrims. Therefore, no matter how twisted her emotions became, she did not wish to abandon the hope of finding her family, believing that even the slightest possibility held infinite opportunities.
