In 2045, as the polar glaciers melt, the last remaining oil and natural gas on Earth are discovered in Northern Canada. The town of Borealis, featured in the film, is a small town near the Arctic, where many eager to seize these valuable resources gather, including entrepreneur and hotel tycoon Vic Carboneau.
