Mikhail is a young businessman who has quickly achieved success through sheer determination. His life is filled with a series of business meetings, negotiations, and public relations, leaving him no time to care about his personal life or think about matters beyond business. Growing up in an orphanage, his father instilled in him that love is a fatal weakness. Recently, Mikhail encountered two "diggers" who obstructed a real estate development project in which he is a partner; they demanded a halt to the project until they could complete the excavation of buried Red Army soldiers' remains. To escape the entanglement, Mikhail feigned following one of them into an underground air raid shelter, but unexpectedly, he found himself transported back to World War II... As an observer on the battlefield, Mikhail does not face danger, and the soldiers cannot perceive his presence. Thus, through repeated brief travels, Mikhail witnessed great acts of love in the human world and saw countless individuals who fearlessly sacrificed themselves for the future of their country. Through clues, he discovered that the heroes he encountered in his time travels were actually his ancestors.
