This film is the directorial debut of Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal, two screenwriters from "Tron: Legacy." Rory (Bradley Cooper) has been struggling to write but has never gained the favor of publishers and occasionally relies on financial support from his father. While on honeymoon in Paris with his new wife Dora (Zoe Saldana), he buys a manuscript case from a second-hand shop. Rory accidentally discovers an old novel manuscript inside, which captivates him deeply. He ultimately claims the novel as his own and publishes it, propelling him to fame as a new voice in literature. Then, a mysterious old man (Jeremy Irons) suddenly appears, telling Rory that he is the true author of the novel and sharing a real love story that took place in Paris. Faced with all this, Rory is consumed by an inescapable sense of guilt. Will he take his success for granted, or is it a moral test?
