Chibi (Laura Breckenridge), Tabyssa (Katheryn Winnick), and Lisa (Jessica Lucas) are childhood friends from Thorn Hill town who, one fateful day as adults, each experience a terrifying ordeal. Chibi and her boyfriend Rob (Tad Hilgenbrink) are driving to Cincinnati at night when they encounter a monster truck. The truck carries a haggard woman, and a note reading "Help me" floats onto their car; during a stormy night, Tabyssa is putting her two nephews to bed when a clown doll in the house rises up, menacingly approaching Tabyssa and the children; Lisa's roommate hasn't returned all night, and she and her boyfriend Dan (Reid Scott) head to a creepy old castle to search for her, but what awaits them is… All of this seems to be connected to a childhood playmate of the three.
