The story takes place in Palestine, where a fisherman named Jafar (played by Sasson Gabai) discovers a gigantic pig. In Jafar's religious beliefs, pigs are embodiments of sin and filth, and to resolve this evil, he decides to sell this rare and bizarre pig. However, Jafar's friends have different ideas; the barber encourages Jafar to seize this opportunity for fame and profit, while the farmer Elena (played by Myriam Tekaïa) insists on letting the pig breed. As Jafar thinks about getting rid of the pig while trying to keep this secret from his wife, he finds himself in a dilemma. However, things are not as simple as they appear; Jafar and his pig's fame spreads far and wide, and local religious radicals deem Jafar a traitor among believers, leading to his arrest and imprisonment.
