In a tranquil mountain village far from the city's hustle and bustle, there lives a young couple: the husband, innocent and aspiring novelist Waka (played by Ryuhei Matsuda), and his wife, Ai (played by Aoi Miyazaki). Ai is naïve and pure, having spent most of her childhood in a hospital. The picture book "Yellow Elephant" once brought her immense joy, and even now, she seems to possess the ability to communicate with animals and plants. Their union has faced opposition from Ai's parents since the beginning, yet their ideal life in seclusion among the mountains is enviable, filled with happiness and supported by friendly interactions with the villagers. However, Ai's body appears to be changing slowly, and her emotions become increasingly unstable. A deep-seated secret introduces an unsettling element into their once happy world… This film is adapted from the original work by female writer Kanako Nishi.
