This documentary is the seventh installment of director Michael Apted's documentary series that began in 1964. In 1964, Michael Apted filmed the documentary "7 Up" for the BBC, interviewing fourteen seven-year-old children from different socio-economic backgrounds in the UK, some from orphanages and others from affluent families. Every seven years thereafter, Apted would re-interview these children, listening to their dreams and discussing their lives. At forty-nine, they reflect on the passage of time and the changes life brings. This film compiles highlights from interviews conducted at ages seven, fourteen, twenty-one, twenty-eight, thirty-five, and forty-two. This season of "7 Up" was nominated for the 2006 BAFTA Awards and the Golden Satellite Awards.
