17-year-old Cheng Miaomiao (Sun Qian) and 16-year-old Cheng Yayao are born in the Linqi Oilfield's first oil extraction factory. Their family has worked in the oil field for three generations; their father, Cheng Pengfei, is an ENT doctor, and their mother, Jia Daiyu, is part of the logistics team. The whole family moved from the northwest to the coastal base in Hepingtown.
