Sekiguchi, making his first leading role in a drama, plays the character Daichi Daisuke, a high school teacher. Daisuke, who has a past marked by a student in his class committing suicide, takes a position at a new high school three years later, which turns out to be a "difficult educational school" for students from impoverished families. The principal warns Daisuke not to overly intervene in the students' problems, so he carries on with his classes, albeit with some doubts. One day, Daisuke is scouted by a wrestling organization, BBT, and begins to operate as a masked wrestler, Masked D, while keeping his identity hidden. Through wrestling, Daisuke confronts the students head-on, putting his body on the line.
