"The Iron Evidence Case 2: The Door to Truth" is adapted from the popular American TV series of the same name, with the first season aired in 2016 on WOWOW. It tells the story of a police investigation team, led by the female detective played by Yoshida Yo, as they unravel cold cases and gradually approach the truth. The original cast reunites for the second season, joined by a luxurious guest star lineup and large-scale production, drawing significant attention with its unique sense of era in Japan and profound case themes. On a certain day, skeletal remains were dug up at a university, and Kanagawa Prefectural Police's Criminal Investigation Division detective Ishikawa Yuri (Yoshida Yo) and Takagi Shinjiro (Nagayan Akito) arrived at the scene to meet with Kaneko Toru (Mitsushige Ken) and Tachikawa Daisuke (Taki Tatsuya), who had arrived earlier. Through a student ID found on the remains, the victim was confirmed to be Hashimoto Seiji (Yoshimura Kai), who went missing after a violent clash between students and the riot police during the Yokosuka riot in 1971. Shortly after, a woman claiming to be Hashimoto's daughter, named Emi (Okunuki Kaoru), came to the Criminal Investigation Division. Emi stated that Hashimoto and her mother were radical activists during their student days. Emi and her mother received money every year from someone suspected to be Hashimoto, and the acting section chief Momoki Hidetoshi (Miura Tomokazu) and the investigation team believe this person is still hiding somewhere, quickly noticing that the envelope containing the money bore a foreign postmark. Given that the foreign stay has exceeded 30 years, the statute of limitations for the missing case may not apply, prompting an investigation to begin. @m.yakutv.cc
