Xiao Yi (played by Feng Jianyu), Wu Xin (played by Wang Yunfan), and Yin Zhengfeng (played by Tao Siyuan) are all murdered at the same time. The administrator of the DOA system appears and informs the three that as long as they assist in restoring the DOA system to normal, they can return to their previous lives. Thus, Xiao Yi and the others come up with various methods to restore the DOA system. However, their actions and the suspicions surrounding them attract the attention of private detective Lin Mie, who sends his apprentice Jing Ling (played by Peng Bo) to approach the three and uncover their true identities.
