Ordinary-looking Ryota (played by Shigeo Emoto) is a university student actively seeking a job. One night, on his way home, he gets caught in a gang shootout. During the shootout, the leader of the Yanagiba gang, Ryuuichi Yanagiba (played by Katsuhisa Namase), gets injured while trying to save Ryota, who accidentally became involved. To evade the police, Yanagiba and his subordinate Takashi Hono (played by Masaki Miura) hide in Ryota's apartment. During this time, the meticulous Yanagiba begins to cook with the ingredients in the fridge, and seemingly ordinary ingredients transform into delicious dishes in the hands of this gang leader. As Ryota marvels at the cooking, he also learns valuable life lessons from Yanagiba... This film is adapted from the original work by Tetsuzou Fukuzawa.
