The drama is adapted from the popular mystery novelist Kanae Minato's novel of the same name. Ryuta Fujiwara plays a 32-year-old salaryman, Namasu, who graduated from a prestigious university and leads an ordinary life. Eriko Todaka plays Namasu's girlfriend, Mihoko, and the two meet and fall in love at a coffee specialty store. The story begins when Mihoko receives a letter accusing "Namasu of murder," gradually revealing the truths behind the "accident" and "incident" of Namasu's close friend's death, Hirozawa, during his university days ten years ago, themed around friendship and atonement in this suspenseful drama. The title "Reverse" encompasses the meanings of reversal and rebirth.
