The story takes place in the summer of 1997, when 17-year-old Aoi (played by Kiyohara Kaya) arrives at Yubi Obstetrics and Gynecology as an inexperienced intern nurse. Little did she know that shortly after her arrival, she would witness a terrifying miscarriage surgery, leaving her mentally shaken. Luckily, the staff at the obstetrics and gynecology department are all very gentle seniors— the meticulous director Yubi (played by Seto Koji), the reliable and dependable nurse Mochizuki Sayako (played by Mizukawa Asami), and the sometimes strict yet gentle head nurse Sakaki (played by Harada Mieko). With their help and companionship, Aoi quickly grows, and her own kindness and empathy allow her to quickly bond with the pregnant women who come for check-ups.
