"Big City Small Village" is developed and written by Mike Daniels. The story revolves around the residents of an apartment building in Manhattan, showcasing people of various ages, races, cultures, and lifestyles, whose lives intertwine like a big family. Michaela McManus plays Sarah, a caring nurse who was once a teenage mother, and now her daughter is following in her footsteps as a teenage mother. Grace Van Dien plays Katie, a single mother who is independent, intelligent, and has a latchkey child (meaning a child left home alone while parents work). Katie works hard just to make ends meet.
