In 1920s Wales, the male lead Paul Pennyfeather (played by Jack Whitehall) is expelled from Oxford University due to his reckless lifestyle and finds a job at a boys' private school, where he meets the female lead Margot Beste-Chetwynde (played by Eva Longoria).
