Excessively indulging in alcohol, Gary King (played by Simon Pegg), who is approaching middle age, suddenly recalls a proud but unfinished escapade from his youth 20 years ago. He reaches out to his good friends, who have since established their own families and careers: Oliver Chamberlain (Martin Freeman), Peter Page (Eddie Marsan), Steven Prince (Paddy Considine), and Andy Knightley (Nick Frost). They agree to return to their hometown of Newton Haven, attempting to relive the joyful moments of a night spent with five friends, twelve pubs, and sixty pints of beer. The small town remains unchanged, but it seems that the locals have completely forgotten these old boys. With Gary at the helm, everything starts off normally, but once night falls, bizarre events begin to unfold, and Gary and his friends find themselves unwittingly stepping into some sort of supernatural trap...
