Long, long ago, in the Dai ethnic region of China, there was a kingdom called Mengbanzha. The king's son, Zhao Shun Tun (played by Tang Guoqiang), was handsome, charming, and skilled in battle, but the king was tyrannical and overbearing, leaving Prince Shun Tun with no freedom, not even in matters of marriage, which were decided by his father. Although the daughters of high-ranking officials were enchanting and beautiful, they could not capture the prince's heart. Eventually, Shun Tun sneaked out of the palace and entered the forest to look for his hunter friend, Yan Kan. In the forest, he unexpectedly met seven stunning peacock princesses, who were the daughters of the king of Meng'ao Dongban. The youngest princess, Namu Nuona (played by Li Xiuming), fell in love with Shun Tun at first sight. With the help of the Dragon King and a monkey, the two finally tied the knot. However, a vulture, transformed into a figure of national affairs, was envious of the prince and tried every means to destroy the happiness of the young couple... This film won the Best Special Effects Award at the 3rd Golden Rooster Awards in 1983 and the Crystal Butterfly Cup at the 14th Children’s Film Festival in the Czech Republic in 1985.
