Detective Cole Parker (played by William Baldwin) has a chaotic day. He is first kicked out of his home early in the morning by his girlfriend Rita (played by Salma Hayek), who draws a line in their relationship. Then, due to having a bad record, his chances of getting a loan are ruined. Parker, due to his duty, takes a statement from a lawyer named Katie (played by Cindy Crawford) who has been shot on the street. However, she turns out to be a sharp-tongued tough character. That night, Parker realizes that the statement he took earlier is incomplete, so he rushes to Katie's home, only to encounter an explosion there. He ends up in a fierce battle with armed assailants to save Katie, subsequently getting embroiled in a spy gang's pursuit. It turns out that a civil case Katie recently handled involves the ownership of a ship, which is used by an international spy gang for underwater eavesdropping, making them targets of assassination. Unable to seek support while being chased by a top-notch spy gang, Parker must rely on his own strength to protect Katie and avenge his fallen colleagues.
