"The Animatrix" consists of nine short films inspired by the world of "The Matrix" series, each with different perspectives and styles, created by animation elites from Japan, the USA, and South Korea. "The Second Renaissance" tells the history of the MATRIX. Robots, unable to bear the harsh treatment from humans, finally rebel and turn humans into energy. "Kid's Story" follows a boy who suddenly receives a call from the network, leading to a large-scale pursuit by agents in black. "Program" showcases snippets of a man and a woman in a virtual training program. "World Record" depicts a sprinter approaching the limits of human capability, only to be tightly controlled by the system. "Beyond" narrates the appearance of an extraordinary area in a peaceful neighborhood due to a system error. "Detective Story" portrays a detective being led step by step in an attempt to break free from the system's restraints. "Matriculated" tells the story of a robot captured and tamed by humans. "Final Flight of the Osiris" documents the destruction of a spaceship.
