A company has lost an SD card containing trade secrets, causing a commotion in the office, and the temporary worker Kakegawa Etsukata (played by Masaki Okada) becomes the prime suspect. True to his name, Etsukata has faced countless bizarre misfortunes since childhood, and even a low-probability event like a meteorite falling hasn’t spared him. Of course, his misfortunes have led to setbacks in both his studies and career. To prove his innocence, he contacts the strange detective Otagai Kyouko (played by Yui Aragaki) through the mysterious detective agency manager Nakaai Hōrō (played by Mitsuhiro Okamoto). Kyouko, with her silver hair and body covered in notes, only accepts same-day appointments, ensuring that all cases are resolved on the same day.
