On a bumpy roadside, a small group of women is solemnly making their way to the village cemetery. They walk with great seriousness, as if participating in some kind of ceremony. Leading the way are Takla, Amel, Yvonne, Afaaf, and Saide. They hold the photographs of their beloved men as they walk under the scorching midday sun. The men in the photos have met their end in a meaningless war, leaving their families to struggle at home. Some women are wearing veils, while others carry wooden crosses. Dressed in black, despite coming from different regions, families, and faiths, their shared emotion on this journey is—sadness. Upon reaching the cemetery gate, a dramatic scene unfolds: the women voluntarily split into two groups, one Muslim and the other Christian. In this war-torn country, this small group of women raises the banner of anti-war sentiment and actively engages in anti-war actions. They are undergoing a baptism of sorts, both externally and internally. Fortunately, their faith has survived the trials of doubt, religion, and opposition, and their friendship endures. However, after a tragic event occurs, will anyone continue to engage in anti-war efforts and pray for peace?
