In 1867, at a tea house in Zhangqiu, Shandong. A young man with exceptional grace cleverly helped three brothers divide a box of ancestral ingots. The three brothers expressed their gratitude endlessly, and as they parted, the young man introduced himself: "My surname is Meng, my name is Jisheng, and my courtesy name is Luochuan." Meng Luochuan's mother, Madam Gao, took Mencius's mother as her role model. Currently, she is worried as her son has driven away three tutors. News from Beijing reports that a silk shop was closed due to offending the Prince Gong's residence. Meng Luochuan was appointed in a crisis to represent his uncle and serve as the temporary business head of Ruifuxiang and went to Beijing. In his youthful arrogance, not only did he fail to reopen the shop, but he also faced expulsion from his father-in-law and humiliation from the Prince and ultimately, the manager of Ruifuxiang in Beijing died with resentment. A cotton disaster broke out in Shandong, placing the entire province's textile industry in jeopardy. While seeking supplies in Hebei, due to the mistake of the Jinan branch manager Ai Zhongqing, the supplies were seized by another Meng family's business, Qianxiangyi. This sparked a conflict between Meng Luochuan and Ai Zhongqing. Just then, Meng Luochuan discovered a new type of fabric woven from foreign and local yarn. He saw hope for saving the textile business. However, this again led to conflict with Ai Zhongqing. Meng Luochuan decided to go his own way. While worrying about funds, Meng Jinhou introduced him to a local figure in Tianjin, Long Ye, for business, and his funding problem was promptly resolved. At this time, Meng Luochuan met a courtesan named Zhong Liu Jie, and they fell in love at first sight. With the help of Long Ye and others, Liu Jie left the brothel and was with Meng Luochuan. Amidst the chaos of a military uprising, the court ordered the governor of Shandong, Ding Baozhen, to conclude the military affairs. When Ding Baozhen struggled without funds for fortification, Meng Luochuan provided financial assistance and obtained a thirty-year exclusive right to sell tea. To raise fortification funds and revitalize his assets, Meng Luochuan established a pawnshop and issued bonds as a major initiative. After learning of the conflict between Meng Luochuan and Ai Zhongqing, Meng Jinhou and Long Ye conspired behind Meng Luochuan's back to frame Ai Zhongqing, leading to Ai Zhongqing's tragic suicide. His son, Ai Longbiao, entered the shop. With Meng Luochuan's support, Ding Baozhen successfully reported back to the court. To thank Meng Luochuan, Ding Baozhen helped reconcile him with his father-in-law, leading to Meng Luochuan's marriage to Wang Xueying. Meng Luochuan was a renowned businessman and national capitalist during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, and the business he founded, "Ruifuxiang," became very famous, with many folk songs circulating at the time, such as "In the south there is Hu Xueyan, in the north there is Meng Luochuan." Meng Luochuan's life wrote the legendary tale of a Confucian merchant who "benefits the world and helps the people."
