The TV series Thunder on the Earth tells the story of Lei Zhenzi, Zhao Fenghuang, and Lou Shengsan, who, since childhood, have sworn brotherhood and dubbed themselves the "Three Heroes of Zhili." They undergo rigorous training at a military academy and face the tumultuous years of Yuan Shikai’s rise and fall, Zhang Xun’s restoration, the Beijing coup, and Japan’s invasion of China, culminating in the occupation of Baoding. Together, they fight against the evil Japanese organization Xuanwu Society, working to prevent the theft of national treasures and stopping the Japanese from privately planting hemp for economic aggression.
