In an environment where cities are rapidly expanding and real estate is flourishing, the old residents of the Ma family's ancestral house have all moved into commercial housing. However, the Ma couple insists on staying in the old house. The real estate developers have set their sights on the old house, intending to requisition it and transform it into a commercial space that combines folk culture and dining. Mr. Ma is unwilling to hand over the family heritage passed down to him. The developers employ both soft and hard tactics, using threats and inducements, but Mr. Ma remains unmoved.
