In the palace of Cleopatra, Caesar (played by Alain Chabat) openly mocks the decadence of the Egyptians, prompting the furious Cleopatra (played by Monica Bellucci) to make a wager with him. The proud queen boasts she can build a luxurious palace in just three months to prove the wisdom of the Egyptian people. The task falls to the designer Ilyis (played by Jamel Debbouze), who is ordered to construct the palace within three months; failure to do so would result in him being fed to crocodiles. Faced with this impossible task—at his wit's end, Ilyis seeks out an old acquaintance: the Gallic wizard, along with the wizard's friends Asterix and Obelix, to come to Egypt. With the aid of magical powers, the project progresses swiftly and smoothly. However, the queen's priest, Amongebis, continuously obstructs the process. Will the queen's mission be completed on time?
