This is a patriotic war epic adapted from a true historical story about the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, directed by Huang Wenli, who has also created excellent stage dramas such as "Wolf Poison Flower" and "Iron Walnut." The strong cast includes Zhu Yongteng, Wang Xinjun, Zhang Ying, Tian Ye, Bai Haitao, and Zhang Hui. After the September 18 Incident in 1931, the Communist Party of China organized anti-Japanese armed forces in Northeast China, with the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army firing the "first gunshot" of our party's resistance against Japanese invasion, thus initiating a thirteen-year-long anti-Japanese war. This TV drama narrates a heroic and tragic legendary story from the arduous battles during these fourteen years. In the drama, General Yang Zhenshan, a renowned figure in the Anti-Japanese United Army, is betrayed by a traitor and unfortunately sacrifices his life. The Japanese invaders cruelly sever the general's head to undermine the morale of the Anti-Japanese United Army. Led by Yang Baozhong, the warriors of the Anti-Japanese United Army launch a thrilling "head-snatching" operation, and amidst repeated struggles against the Japanese, countless ordinary people from Northeast China are mobilized, bravely stepping forward to fight, forming a grand tide of resistance against Japanese aggression. The "head-snatching" operation, which runs throughout the story, is tense and intense, filled with suspense, keeping the audience on edge for the protagonists while simultaneously making them blood boil with the heroic deeds and patriotism of the characters within the drama.
