Milan Maric will play the famous Soviet satirist Sergey Dovlatov. The film focuses on the brief six days of Dovlatov's life, illustrating the political chill and turmoil of the Soviet Union in the 1970s. Dovlatov will fight to defend his talent and independence, while his artist friends abandon him one by one. The only person standing by him is his friend Joseph—the later Nobel Prize winner Joseph Brodsky.
