Betsy Bloom (played by Kate Winslet) is a well-known journalist for a New York news magazine. She receives a task to interview a death row inmate, David Gale (played by Kevin Spacey). Gale has been convicted of raping and murdering Constance Harraway and is set to be executed on Friday at 6 PM. Bloom's mission is to interview and document Gale's last three days of life, despite him having previously refused all interviews. Initially, Bloom is indifferent to the assignment, but as she interacts with Gale, she realizes that everything is not as straightforward as it seems. Thus, Bloom decides to use the remaining three days to uncover the truth... The film "The Life of David Gale" was directed by Alan Parker, who was nominated for the Golden Bear Award at the 2003 Berlin International Film Festival.
