Ah Wei (Ouyang Zhenhua) is a cowardly stuntman working at a Hong Kong film company. To boost his courage, he often boasts, earning the disdain of those around him. During a shoot, his fear prevents him from performing, leading to his dismissal from the company. His wife, Xiao Wen (Luo Huijuan), leaves him after discovering his cowardice. Devastated by job loss and divorce, Ah Wei decides to commit suicide by drinking poison. Just as he drinks it, fate plays a trick on him, and he unexpectedly discovers that he has won the lottery. Unfortunately, at that moment, a debt collector named Gui Li arrives to collect money. In a panic, Ah Wei hides the lottery ticket in the gap of the television and rushes to the hospital.
