This film tells the "struggle" of two young men attempting to escape from a mental institution. The male protagonist, Lee Soo-myeong (played by Jin-gu Yeo), suffers from schizophrenia due to feelings of guilt over his mother's suicide and is sent to a psychiatric hospital by his biological father. He is transferred multiple times and has had numerous applications for discharge rejected for various reasons. Faced with a father who never visits, the cold management of the hospital, and the temptation of "freedom" from his friend in the ward, Sung-min (played by Min-gi Lee), can Soo-myeong ultimately escape the hospital? This film is adapted from the original work of Jeong Yu-jeong (phonetic), which won the 5th Korean World Literature Prize in 2009.
